March Break Camp Activities
Our March Break Forest Camp is designed to keep children active, curious, and engaged throughout the week. Each day is rooted in outdoor, hands-on learning, with activities guided by children’s interests, seasonal conditions, and natural opportunities that arise in the forest. While no two days are the same, experiences may include:

-
Shelter Building – Design and build simple, weather-ready shelters using natural materials while learning teamwork and problem-solving.
-
Seasonal Water & Raft Play – Experiment with floating structures, stream exploration, and early spring water play using logs, rope, and imagination.
-
Tree Climbing & Adventurous Play – Build confidence, strength, and risk-awareness through supervised climbing and movement challenges appropriate to each child’s ability.
-
Nature Art & Creative Projects – Use sticks, stones, bark, leaves, and other found materials to create nature-inspired art and crafts.
-
Hiking & Forest Exploration – Explore trails, observe early signs of spring, and learn about local plants and wildlife through guided adventures.
-
Map Reading & Navigation Skills – Practice real-world skills such as basic orienteering, compass use, and following hand-drawn maps.
-
Wildlife Tracking & Bug Exploration – Discover animal tracks, signs of life, and emerging insects while learning to observe nature closely.
-
Mindful Moments in Nature – Balance active play with storytelling, reflection, quiet observation, and rest under the trees.

March Break at our forest school is about movement, exploration, resilience, and joy—giving children a meaningful outdoor experience during their school break.
