P.D. Days at Tideview Nature School

Our P.D. Days are all about spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun while learning. Children get the chance to discover, play, and reflect in nature, guided by our supportive educators.

What to expect:

• Outdoor Adventures – Held at beautiful local spots like Cole Harbour Heritage Park and Point Pleasant Park.

• Hands-On Activities – Shelter building, mud painting, knot-tying, nature crafts, and more.

• Play and Discovery – Child-led exploration balanced with gentle guidance.

• Circle Time – We start and end the day together, sharing, connecting, and reflecting.

• Community and Connection – Every P.D. Day builds confidence, creativity, and a deeper relationship with nature.

At Tideview, learning flows from curiosity and the land itself. Each P.D. Day is a chance to grow, connect, and have fun outside.

What happens if the weather is terrible?

Safety comes first. While we run programs in most kinds of weather, we have a backup plan for dangerous conditions like blizzards, extreme cold, or severe storms. If the forecast looks unsafe, we bring the adventure indoors with fun activities, learning, and play.
