Let your kids discover the thrill of the wild in our hands-on weekend bushcraft and survival program in Halifax!


Each weekend, young adventurers learn real outdoor skills. From building shelters to navigating the forest and exploring nature safely.

Our program builds confidence, teamwork, and resilience, inspiring kids to connect with nature and themselves through fun, guided wilderness experiences.

Bushcraft & Survival Skills

Our Weekend Wonders program teaches kids 4 to 11 years old real outdoor know-how through fun, guided, hands-on experiences. Each session focuses on practical survival and camping skills that build independence, problem-solving, and confidence outdoors.

Program projects

A Snapshot of Some of the projects we will be working on 

Shelter Building Challenge

Kids will learn different types of shelters, materials to use, and which designs work best for various weather conditions,  then build their own in the forest.

Knot-Tying Project

Tree-Top Net Nest – Kids will use their knot-tying and rope skills to design and build a giant web-style hammock among the trees , a creative project that blends teamwork, balance, and bushcraft engineering.

Tent Setup & Camp Village

Work together to pitch tents, design your camp layout, and create shared spaces that feel like your own mini forest village.

​

Mini Survival Missions

Work together to tackle challenges like “Build a Shelter Before the Storm!” or “Find and Purify Water for Camp.”

​

Forest Scavenger Hunt

Use maps, compasses, and natural landmarks to navigate the forest and uncover hidden “forest treasures.”

​

Find Your Way Game

Practice direction-finding using the sun, shadows, and natural clues in fun, activity challenges.

​

Trail Tracker Mission

Follow animal signs, footprints, and forest patterns to complete a team “tracker trail.”

Weekend Wonders Monthly Membership – $100/month

  • Includes 4 weekend sessions (choose Saturday or Sunday each week)

  • No long-term commitment — cancel or pause anytime with 2 weeks’ notice

  • Makeups or credits available for weather cancellations or holidays

Join anytime! Each month brings new hands-on outdoor adventures and skill-building fun.

Drop-In Pass – $35/session

  • Perfect for new families or occasional adventurers

  • Attend any available weekend session (space permitting)
